CoreWG (WinGuard)

Overview

The CoreAccess WinGuard (CoreWG) module provides an easy to use graphical console for alarm management and integration of Access Control with Building Management Systems and CCTV. It interlinks systems from a range of different manufacturers under a standardised, user-friendly interface and serves as the central operating and control unit. A CoreAccess WinGuard installation can be expanded step by step with additional workstations, functional modules and interfaces, from a single user system up to a comprehensive network solution.

User Interface

A graphical user interface detailing locations on the site and access points can be monitored by security personnel with alarms automatically displayed and the ability to drill down to further detail and control system elements such as doors / CCTV cameras. The WinGuard user interface can be individually designed to a particular user’s requirements and level of access. By using drag & drop technology with the integrated graphics editor the user can set up the layout of the monitoring screens using various existing documents such as CAD overview plans. By means of schedules, the behaviour of the system (controls, actions) can be programmed to be time dependent.

Monitoring

The WinGuard Video Manager integrates various digital and analog video systems of different manufacturers into a uniform, intuitive user interface. Exceptional incidents (alarms, faults etc) in the linked systems trigger corresponding events in WinGuard and initiate predefined processing sequences. Necessary actions such as switching cameras in the concerned area, printing documents or notifying the intervention forces can be performed fully automated or on request.

By means of user alarms it is also possible to integrate events into the normal processing sequence which are reported in other ways for example via phone. All activities in the WinGuard system are logged and information from these can be copied to create freely designable reports.

IT Hardware

Support
  • Windows 2000/XP/Vista
  • Browser based platform
  • PC, PDA, cell phone
Benefits
  • Effective integration of all site monitoring systems
  • Modern and holistic security concept
  • Convenient consistent view independent of hardware
WinGuard Interface

Systems with safety features are connected to WinGuard through interfaces and program modules are used which handle the specific exchange of data and provide the necessary functions in a unified form. The functional range of the system is also determined by the number and type of the installed interface modules.

On accessing the WinGuard web-server any internet capable PC, PDA or cell phone can serve as an access point to retrieve information about the current system states and with the appropriate security level, gain full control.
